Newsletter 202609 – Health and Safety Measures on Campus

  1. Fire Safety Seminar and Fire Drill

To enhance fire safety awareness and promote a safe, healthy campus environment, CDMO organised a joint fire safety seminar and drill in conjunction with the Fire Services Department on 14 January 2026. Held at Lee Quo Wei Academic Building and  Lo Hui Kit San Building, the exercise effectively strengthened emergency preparedness among both staff and students.

2. Permanent Guard Railing and Anchorage System

The installation of a permanent guard railing and anchorage system on the roof (R/F) of Yip Kit Chuen and Yuen Yuk Hing Hall was completed in May 2026. This safety enhancement significantly reduces the risk of falls from height during routine roof maintenance operations and strengthens overall site safety compliance.

3. Disinfection Measures

CDMO remains committed to maintaining a clean and hygienic campus environment to safeguard the health and well-being of our community. In line with this commitment, we continue to collaborate with service providers for regular disinfection of all campus common areas, with the most recent treatment successfully completed in July 2026.

4. Emergency Drill

A chemical leakage drill was conducted on 19 August 2026 to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of campus emergency handling procedures. The exercise ensured that responsible staff are well-equipped and fully prepared to handle potential chemical spills safely and promptly.
