West Lane Project
Conceptual Design of the West Lane Building
Foundation works for the new academic building have commenced. Progress includes:
a) Building foundation completed 90% as at 28 Feb 2022.
b) EVA (emergency vehicular access) foundation works are expected to complete by June 2022.
c) Tree transplanting works will commence in Apr 2022.

2. Renovation and Improvement Works
a. D407 Smart Classroom
CDMO completed the second phase of improvement works at D407 in Jan 2022 after the works at D405 in 2020 to enhance the University teaching and learning environments. Features include flexible seating, large mobile LED TV panels for group presentation and paperless illustrations for further interaction.

b. S H Ho Academic Building Skylight Repairs
CDMO would arrange major repair and maintenance works from time to time to improve building condition and life expectancy of the building. Skylights at the roof of SH Ho Academic Building (completed in 2012) has provided more natural light, an airy atmosphere and enhanced energy efficiency of the building. However, water egress problem was identified during the rainy weather and leakage has become more serious recently. CDMO has initiated waterproofing repair works at the roof surrounding the skylights and the targeted completion of the works is March 2022.

c. Yuen Campus Naming Signs
The University was deeply honoured to have received a magnanimous donation from Prof. Francis Yuen and Dr Rose Lee, in support of the University’s strategic development. To express the University’s sincere gratitude, it named its South Campus “Yuen Campus” in honour of Prof. Yuen’s father and Naming Signs were constructed to recognise their generosity to the University. Yuen campus naming signs were completed in October 2021.

d. Installation of National and HKSAR Flags
CDMO has arranged and installed National and HKSAR flags at M3 Podium in late Dec 2021.
