9. Proactive Tree Maintenance and Advanced Assessments of Tree Conditions
Before the typhoon season, we used advanced tree assessment tools including resistograph and sonic tomograph to evaluate the internal structure of trees to identify potential problems. This allowed us to proactively remove any trees with serious defects. Additionally, we carried out tree pruning, which included removing dead or broken branches, thinning the crown, and reducing the crown size. These measures help reduce the risk of falling trees and branches during adverse weather conditions. Keeping our campus community safe remains our top priority.
