Health and Safety Measures on Campus
1. Health and Safety Training
CDMO has arranged “First Aid Certificate Training in July 2025. This programme included online learning and practical sessions to equip participants with the necessary techniques to save lives in critical situations and provide support in emergencies.


Regular safety training, including accident sharing and heat stroke prevention, has been organised for frontline staff. Personal protective equipment, such as cooling vests and sun protection sleeves, has been provided for participants.


2. Fire Drill Arrangement
CDMO organised a fire drill with the Fire Services Department to promote awareness among colleagues and students, fostering a safe and healthy campus environment. A fire safety seminar and drill were conducted on 3 March 2025, at M Building, Staff Quarters and Old Hall, with another drill held on 24 June 2024 for the Lee Quo Wei Academic Building and Lo Hui Kit San Building.


3. Emergency Drill Arrangement
An emergency drill for power failure was conducted on 24 June 2025 to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency response plan, ensuring responsible colleagues are well-prepared to handle power outages.


4. HPV Vaccination Catch-up Programme
The HPV Vaccination Catch-up Programme (Phase 2) was conducted on 15 April 2025, in collaboration with the Department of Health (DH), offering free vaccinations to eligible individuals. This initiative aims to prevent cervical cancer and other HPV-related diseases and is considered safe. The first dose was successfully administered to 126 eligible students, with the second dose planned for September 2025.


5. Disinfection Measures
CDMO is dedicated to maintaining a clean and hygienic campus environment. To ensure the well-being of our community, we will continue to collaborate with service providers for regular disinfection of campus common areas. The last treatment was completed in July 2025.
