  1. Flag-raising Ceremony at HKSAR Establishment Day

    CDMO supported the flag-raising ceremony conducted by HSUHK Student Flag-raising Group and attended by HSUHK management, staff and students on 1 July 2025.

2. Enhancement of Campus Facility Services (Main Campus)

a. Walkie-Talkies Replacement

A new batch of walkie-talkies with SIM Card was deployed to replace the old point-to-point models to enhance signal reception capabilities. These upgraded devices have been distributed to various CDMO teams, including BSU, FMS, Security, and Housekeeping to enhance communication efficiency.

The new walkie-talkies proved highly effective during critical operation, such as with the Emergency Response Team during the Typhoon Wipha (No. 10) on 20 July 2025, the Fire Drill on 24 July 2025 and the Black Rainstorm Warning on 5 August 2025.

b. Campus Information Accessibility (QR Code) Accessibility (QR Code Signage)

New signages with QR code linking to essential campus information has been installed in M Building (inside the lifts and on the notice board near the M-2/F lift lobby). This enhances accessibility to key resources for students, staff, and visitors and will be gradually extended to other buildings.

c. New CCTV Signage

New CCTV sticker label signage has been installed across various locations on campus to enhance security awareness. The replacement process is expected to be completed in September 2025.

d. Toilet signage Replacement

The toilet signages will be replaced by new stainless-steel designs, including text in Chinese, English, and Braille.

 

e. New LPG Mosquito Trap

A new LPG mosquito trap was installed at organic farmland on the rooftop of Lee Shau Kee Complex on 12 August 2025 to effectively control mosquito populations and improve outdoor experience for all users.

f. Sanitary Facility Improvement

  • Toilet seat sanitizers will be installed progressively across all campus restrooms to improve hygiene and user comfort. This aims to provide a cleaner, safer, and more pleasant experience for all facility users.
  • Transparent paper dispensers have been installed on a trial basis and will progressively replace older dispensers to ensure a consistent, user-friendly, and sanitary experience across all facilities.
  • Disinfecting wipes are available on the teacher’s desk in the classroom for cleaning microphones, tables, or other items to maintain hygiene for teachers and students.

3.Enhancement of Campus Facility Services (The Create)

a. Update of Room Nos. with New Signs

CDMO updated classroom numbers and installed corresponding LED lights and door signs following the first semester of AY 2024/2025. In addition, some pictogram directional signs have been installed to facilitate users’ orientation. These enhancements not only increase convenience for users but also elevate the overall aesthetic of The Create’s interior design.

b. Additional Facilities Provision

To fulfill users’ requirements for providing users with a more comfortable teaching and learning environment, CDMO has arranged to add 40 tables in multi-purpose rooms TC01 and TC02 and also worked with ITSC to provide an additional 5 computers for general use.  In addition, new furniture have been arranged to support more users at the popular leisure room to enjoy their meals.

4. Supporting dynamic activities in The Create

CDMO supported in organizing different kinds of non-class activities during the second semester of AY24/25. This included recommending tailored venue setups, configuring and preparing IT equipment to meet users’ requirements and coordinating with event organizer to ensure effective crowd management. In addition, CDMO conducted pre-event briefing sessions before the events to help users effectively master the use of The Create facilities, ensuring the smooth running of the event.
