1. Water recycling

To foster a sustainable community and continuous practice, CDMO has introduced initiatives for reusing swimming pool water and greywater. On 13 July and 2 August 2024, the CDMO reused swimming pool water normally discharged to clean driveways and common areas of the campus before discharging them during the pool cleaning exercise.


2. Landscaping support for the Eco-P Campaign event

Landscape team supported the Eco-P Campaign on 21 June 2024 where they helped the participants to prune trees and potting plants and plant bamboo at Wei Lun Square.

3.Tree plantation behind HSUHK Jockey Club Residential College (RCs)

In order to support diverse ecosystems and provide habitat for various species of flora and fauna,  the tree plantation behind RCs (phase 1) was finished on 30 July 2024. Phase 2 and 3 will be completed by the end of September 2024.

4. EcoTrail tour support to the Malaysia-Hong Kong Cultural Exchange Programme 2024

CDMO facilitated and coached our student ambassardors (SAs) to do the EcoTrail Tour for the Malaysia-Hong Kong Cultural Exchange Programme 2024 on 18 June 2024. There were 42 participants in this programme. Additionally, participants were able to touch and smell the wood of the compost, further enhancing their experience and understanding of the natural elements encountered during the tour.
