Typhoon Precautionary Measures

The Hong Kong Observatory was expecting the storm Higo might hit Hong Kong and announced that typhoon signal no. 8 would be hoisted at around 11pm on 18 Aug 2020. CDMO’s typhoon team was mobilized to take all necessary preventive measures as appropriate for site safety to minimize adverse impact of the typhoon. Some of the safety precautionary measures were listed below:

Got enough sandbags to prepare for blocking any unintended surface water runoff out of the drains and sandbags were stacked to prevent ingress of water from outside
Check and clear any blockage in the drainage system to ensure effective discharge of surface water run-off

Ensure the stability of an outdoor big banner to avoid adverse impact of strong wind
